Caregiver: Seeking Qualified Individuals
What is a caregiver?
Caregivers work in the home and help their clients with daily activities, such as bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, grooming, taking medication, and some housework. Caregivers help clients make and keep appointments with doctors, provide or arrange transportation and serve as a companion for their clients.

Basic Job Requirements
Driving:
You must possess a valid drivers license in order to be a caregiver
Be physically fit:
Lifting, bending, stooping, walking and pushing consumers in wheel chairs
Responsible:
Cleanliness, promptness, regular reporting and 24 hours notice if unable to fulfill any portion of a scheduled commitment
Live Scan:
This can be done at our Menifee Office or at any licensed Live Scan Facility
Additionally:
All employees are required to have a CPR & First Aid, negative TB test, reliable transportation w/current auto insurance. A complete employment packet on file with the Human Resources Department before respite services can begin. (Families who refer an employee to SCMS may not authorize the start of services or terminate an employee/caregiver.)
