In what ways has the partnership with the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce helped your business thrive?
“I believe that my business would not be where it is today if not for the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce. I became a member about 28 years ago, and since then, I have developed friendships as well as clients — as well as being able to give back to the community through the chamber and other organizations. With the chamber being the catalyst for our business and charitable involvement in the community, the rewards have been endless. I cannot encourage everyone enough to join the chamber and get involved.”
Do you have any stories about your time with the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce?
“I can remember my first gala, which was held in the tent at Pechanga outside where bingo was played. At 10 o’clock the chamber had to clear out as they had to prepare for the next round of bingo. It showed how small and close our community was. Even with the growth within the community since I’ve been involved in the chamber, I realize how small and close we all are. And I reflect over the years how this organization has helped each other. As an example, Pattie Deroeux, who had been my secretary, and the COO of the chamber, was sick with cancer. The entire community came together to help raise money for her and her son by hosting an Oscar night with lines that went around the block to get into the event.”
