Celebrating 20 Years of Impact with Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley

This year marks a significant milestone for Tammy—a celebration of 20 years of dedicated service with Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley. Since becoming President and CEO in 2005, Tammy has led numerous initiatives that have transformed lives through the power of homeownership. Under her leadership, the organization has expanded its impact, constructing homes, revitalizing neighborhoods, and creating programs to address critical housing needs, such as home repairs and veteran support.

Her tenure with Habitat for Humanity is underscored by her relentless passion for affordable housing. From local projects to statewide initiatives, Tammy’s advocacy has helped shape housing policies and strengthen community bonds. She continues to serve as a founding board member of Habitat for Humanity California, ensuring her voice is heard on critical affordable housing issues both locally and nationally.

A Respected Leader in the Chamber

Tammy's influence and expertise extend far beyond her work with Habitat for Humanity. She has been an integral part of the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce for 20 years, serving as a strong advocate for local businesses and economic growth. Currently serving on the Chamber’s Board of Directors and having held the role of Secretary of the Board, Tammy has contributed to the Chamber in numerous ways, including strategic planning and community-focused initiatives. Her understanding of community needs and her insights into affordable housing provide a well-rounded perspective that enriches the Chamber’s work.

A Lifetime of Service Rooted in Passion

Tammy’s 33 years in the nonprofit sector have been fueled by a deep sense of purpose. With a business degree from Colorado State University and advanced studies in nonprofit leadership at California State University – San Marcos, Tammy brings a strategic yet compassionate approach to all that she does.

Beyond her professional achievements, Tammy dedicates herself to educating and inspiring others. She mentors future nonprofit leaders through her teaching role at Mount San Jacinto College and has even volunteered as an Expressive Art teacher at Michelle’s Place, a local nonprofit supporting individuals and families impacted by cancer.

Driving Positive Change in the Temecula Valley

Tammy’s leadership reaches into critical areas of community development. One of her notable accomplishments was completing a four-year term as Chair of the Board of Governance for the Continuum of Care in Riverside County. Her tenure saw significant progress, including tripling state and federal funding for homelessness initiatives and creating policies that drastically reduced the number of unsheltered individuals in Riverside County.

Her long-standing dedication to improving livelihoods in the Inland Valley is a reminder of her commitment to addressing challenges with impactful solutions. Tammy's work consistently strengthens Temecula’s sense of community and inspires others to contribute meaningfully.
