The Science of the Hand-Brain Connection

Why build in 3D? Research shows that our hands are connected to 70-80% of our brain cells. When we "think with our hands," we tap into a deeper level of creative intelligence and "neural circuitry" that verbal discussion alone cannot reach.

• Unlocking the Subconscious: Building allows you to express complex ideas that you might not yet have the words for.
• Externalizing the Problem: By putting your vision into a 3D model, you can look at it from all angels, making it easier to identify gaps and opportunities.

Collective Mentoring 

Working in small groups, participants articulate the meaning of their 3D models through storytelling, creating deep meaning and enhanced clarity. In this session, participants build and share, ensuring all voices are heard.

Meet Your Hosts: Gaynell Vanderslice, PhD, MBA, and Mary Ann Pearson, EdD, APR

Dr. Vanderslice and Dr. Pearson bring over 50 years of combined experience as practitioners, scholars, and academics who are passionate about helping others identify their unique pathway to flourishing. Their joint efforts led to additional research publications, conference presentations, and workshops.

Their shared passion and research focus on collective leadership and collective mentoring as essential pathways to human flourishing. They believe flourishing starts with ownership. By intentionally exploring and aligning your values with your life's purpose, you enhance your capacity to be fully human, in both your work and personal life.

In 2006, Dr. Vanderslice pioneered a collective leadership model designed to increase leadership capacity across every role within an organization.

Dr. Pearson actively engages doctoral candidates in the art of collective mentoring, guiding them as they navigate the rigors of scholarly research and turn complex ideas into meaningful action.
