As an ambitious young professional living in the Valley, one may find themselves wanting to give back to their community and take on a leadership role. Joining a board of directors can undoubtedly help you achieve that goal, but with great responsibility comes a learning curve. That’s why Valley Young Professionals is excited to offer their upcoming education class on “What It Takes To Join A Board.” 

In this session, attendees will learn about the critical role boards play in our communities, the responsibilities of board members, how to evaluate a board's culture and impact, and how to secure a board position that aligns with your interests and talents. Whether you are a seasoned professional or just starting your career, this class is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable insight and set yourself up for success in the boardroom.

What is a Valley Young Professionals Educational Workshop?
The Valley Young Professionals are proud to serve the business community through various educational events. Each educational workshop is presented by highly respected individuals in the field and is offered during convenient times of the work day. As a membership bonus, most of the following educational events are complimentary to VYP members and are open to non-members for a fee, as well.  

What is Valley Young Professional?
At Valley Young Professionals, our mission is to empower young professionals (ages 21-40) to connect, collaborate, and become community leaders through monthly networking mixers, quarterly education workshops, and community outreach opportunities!

Outside of the age demographic?
Don't worry, everyone is welcome at our events. Those who are unable to obtain a membership due to age may have to pay a non-member entry fee to attend. Check the registration page for pricing!
